You described the outage, but not the decision, the trade-off or what you learned.
We put every tracking event in one shared database to ship faster. At 500k shipments a day it became the bottleneck. I led the move to Kafka with regional stores, and p95 latency fell from 1.8 s to 220 ms. Today I would split it before launch.

Questions
Why not just use ChatGPT?
A chatbot starts from whatever you paste in. It doesn't remember your career, doesn't watch for new jobs and doesn't keep track of your applications. Asked to improve a CV, it also tends to add things you never did. ActiveTwin keeps one confirmed record of your career, works from it every day and checks every change against it.
Who is ActiveTwin for?
Anyone whose job search should be working better. It fits experienced tech people best today, because most of the job sources are tech companies and remote job boards. The CVs, the profile review and the interview debriefs work for any field.
Does ActiveTwin apply to jobs for me?
No. It finds and scores jobs, drafts CVs and cover notes, and reminds you of next steps. You review everything and apply yourself, on the employer's site.
Where do the jobs come from?
From the public career boards of companies (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Workable) and from remote job boards that allow it. Each job links to the original posting.
What happens to my CV and my data?
They are stored in the EU and used only to give you the service. AI providers process your text to answer your requests and may not train on it. You can download or delete everything in Settings.
Is there a free plan?
Yes, with no card. The Free plan sets up your profile, scores about eight jobs a month and lets you try the profile review and the interview analysis once. Paid plans are monthly, score far more jobs and add the writing and interview tools.
